Metal-Tech's metal may rock, but it doesn't get its metal from rock. The company manufactures metal powders from recycled scrap metals, industrial sludge, and other waste materials. Its core products include tungsten, a brittle metal used in lighting filaments, electrical wires, televisions, and other items, and molybdenum oxide, a metal-based chemical used to make steel alloys. In addition, Metal-Tech recycles lithium batteries (for the Israeli government) and spent catalysts (used in chemical reactions). The company operates plants in Israel and Mongolia and sells its products primarily to companies in the US and Europe. Metal-Tech was founded in 1986.
