Middleby Corp. has been cashing in on cooks for more than a century. Founded in 1888, the company makes a slew of commercial and institutional foodservice equipment for restaurants, retailers, and hotels worldwide. Middleby carves its work into two groups: Commercial Foodservice Equipment and Food Processing Equipment. The largest, Foodservice, makes machines for most types of cooking and warming activities. Products are sold under some two dozen blue chip brands -- Anets, Blodgett, Southbend, and TurboChef, among them. The Food Processing arm makes cooking, mixing, slicing, and packaging machines for global food processing giants, notably precooked meat. About 80% of Middleby's sales are made in North America.
