Whirlpool S.A. is keeping it clean. The company, formerly named Multibrás S.A. Eletrodomésticos, makes washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, stoves, refrigerators, air conditioners, and microwaves. It also manufactures smaller household appliances (such as blenders and food processors). Products are marketed under the Consul, Brastemp, KitchenAid, and Whirlpool names. The firm operates three factories and a distribution center in Brazil. Primarily serving the Latin American market, Whirlpool S.A. exports its products to about 70 countries. The company, whose roots reach back to 1950, is a subsidiary of appliance manufacturing giant Whirlpool.
