Mission The mission of the NBOME is to protect the public by providing the means to assess competencies for osteopathic medicine and related health care professions.
Description Founded in 1934, the NBOME is an independent, nongovernmental, not-for-profit organization. The NBOME is recognized for excellence in the national and the international arena of physician testing and evaluation. The NBOME staff lead the talents and contributions of hundreds of professionals from all around the country who have responsibility and expertise in the health professions, medical practice, medical education and evaluation, and physician licensure and regulation. Together these individuals comprise the numerous NBOME committees that perform a wide array of duties regarding high quality test development, continuous quality improvement, continuous professional development, innovations in testing, and research initiatives that support the NBOME’s mission. Our Corporate Offices are located in the Chicago (O’Hare Airport) region, and the NBOME National Center for Clinical Skills Testing and Executive Offices are based in the Philadelphia (Conshohocken) area.
