Omega Pharma wants to be the last word in over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceuticals. The company manufactures and markets a wide range of consumer products, primarily in Europe. It offers OTC and generic drugs and personal care items sold in pharmacies under brands including Paranix (lice treatment), Predictor (home pregnancy test), Silence (sleep aid), Wartner (wart removal), and XL-S (weight control). Omega Pharma's products are sold in about 40 countries and has expanded through acquisitions. CEO Marc Coucke co-founded the company in 1987 and took it private with help from a private equity firm in 2011.
