PMFG (formerly Peerless Mfg.) is without peer when it comes to making products that remove contaminants. The company operates through two segments: environmental systems and process products. Its process products include separation filtration systems that remove solid and liquid contaminants from natural gas and saltwater aerosols from the air intakes of marine gas turbine and diesel engines. The segment also makes industrial noise control and heat transfer products. PMFG's environmental systems unit makes air pollution abatement products, primarily selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems, which are used to convert nitrogen oxide produced by the burning of fossil fuels into nitrogen and water vapor.
