Polyair Inter Pack has more bubbles than a Lawrence Welk show. The company makes and markets protective bubble and foam packaging and swimming pool covers. Its lineup includes Durabubble bubble wrap, Ecolite mailing envelopes, puncture-resistant Starfoam sheets, and on-demand air pillow packaging systems. Sales in the US from packaging and swimming pool solar covers account for more than 80% of revenue. Seven of Polyair Inter Pack's eight manufacturing and distribution facilities are in the US. Pinned between rising raw materials and freight costs, shrinking demand, and sharp competition, the company went private in 2009; all shares are owned by Glencoe Skydome Holdings.
