PRG PowerHouse (known just as PowerHouse) is really cleaning things up, or at least setting itself up with the right tools to do so. The company is one of the top independent appliance retailers in the UK. With about 110 stores, PowerHouse offers a wide assortment of household appliances and electronics including dishwashers, refrigerators, washers and dryers, TVs, digital cameras, and audio and video components. The company was purchased in 2003 by New Zealand-based Pacific Retail Group; it began as a management buyout of Southern, Eastern, and Midlands regional electrical companies' retail operations.
