Description Propellerhead Software (aka Propellerheads) develops music and audio software. Its products, which can be used on either MacOS or Windows, are used in electronic music production to create and mix sounds. The company's two primary applications are multi-application virtual studio Reason and sampled audio loops editor ReCycle. It has also developed technologies for the music software industry, including ReWire, REX2, and Remote. Propellerhead discontinued its first music synthesizer emulation software, ReBirth, although the company still offers it for free downloading on its Web site. Ernst Nathorst-Böös, Marcus Zetterquist, and Peter "Pelle" Jubel founded Propellerhead in 1994.
