Need a place to store those old hockey sticks? Public Storage Canada acquires and develops self-storage facilities in Canada. It owns about 30 facilities, and its general partner, Canadian Mini-Warehouse Property Company (CMP), manages the facilities and about two dozen more owned by other entities. All the facilities, totaling some 2 million sq. ft., operate under the Public Storage Canada banner. Public Storage Canadian properties are located in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec. The company is affiliated with US-based Public Storage, but is controlled by the Hughes family, who also own CMP.
