Description Read all about it! Quipp, doing business as Quipp Systems, makes post-press newspaper-handling equipment that stacks, wraps, bundles, and loads newspapers. The company's Twin-Trak and Quipp-Gripp III conveyors move newspapers from the press to the mailroom, where the Viper wraps them in paper and adds identification labels. Stackers mechanically stack newspapers, and cart-loading systems automatically load the papers onto trucks. Computerized monitoring systems control the handling process. Quipp boasts more than 500 US and international customers; newspaper publisher Gannett accounts for about 10% of sales. Acquired in 2008, Quipp operates as a subsidiary of industrial behemoth Illinois Tool Works.
