Description Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH (rnv) is the largest major traffic alliance in Germany that was formed by several cities. rnv operates the suburban railway, tram and bus routes in Mannheim, Heidelberg and Ludwigshafen. Furthermore, it is also represented in the southern Hessen region with its subsidiary V-Bus GmbH.
The approximately 200 km long railway network is the longest single meter-gauge network in Germany. It includes not only bus, tram and suburban rail routes, but also two railway routes.
The managing partners of Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH are the cities of Mannheim, Ludwigshafen and Heidelberg. With more than 1800 employees, 188 trams and light rail vehicles as well as around 173 buses, rnv offers attractive public transport and makes an important contribution to sustainable and environmentally-friendly mobility in the Rhein-Neckar metropolitan region.
