The site provides a showcase for real estate agents, lettings agents (a UK term for an agent who specializes in renting properties), new home developers, and overseas home agents and vendors. These customers pay fees for the right to display properties on the Rightmove website. The company also distributes listings via mobile applications. Three of the UK's largest real estate agency chains, Countrywide, Halifax, and Connells, jointly founded Rightmove in 2000. The firm floated on the London Stock Exchange in 2006.
