Ever wonder why it takes so long to be approved for a car loan? Maybe it's because your dealer isn't using RouteOne. The Web-based company is a joint venture established by GMAC (which became Ally Financial in 2010), Ford Motor Credit, Toyota Financial Services, and DaimlerChrysler Financial Services in 2002. It has created the RouteOne credit application software, which speeds the automotive finance process for dealers, finance sources, and car buyers. Dealers who use RouteOne can submit credit applications to their finance sources (and not just the JV partners) with just a few mouse clicks and avoid the previously requisite fax, phone, and email hassles.
