    Approves of CEO

    I have been working at SSW full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Amazing staff, working with the latest technologies and generally smashing all client projects all champions.

    It's probably one of the best companies that give you personal and professional growth.

    The company also allows you to build your own image through SSW TV and user group presentations. All of the presenters are amazing!

    Cons

    Internal work can be tedious and out of focus.
    Being on the bench can frustrating and getting a client gives you the opportunity to relax a bit. Calling CEO can mean extra unexpected work which causes most of the people to avoid calling him unless necessary.

    Advice to Management

    Internal work is unavoidable, so make it as painless as possible.
    Also, clear communication of why something should be done a certain way can be a much better approach than asking the dev what to do. We are senior consultants, we can figure out what and how once we understand why we need to do something.
    Otherwise, I think Adam is great and has changed over time to be a better boss. Sometimes he just needs to let us to what we do best, solve tech problems and self organize.

    Application

    I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at SSW (Sydney) in February 2015.

    Interview

    There are 3 parts of the interview:
    * Talk with Adam
    * Making a document as part of a client mock-up call
    * Code challenge

    The point of the interviews is for the CEO to see how well you'll be with the clients and if you're a good communicator. The code is often reviewed by current employees.
