Description SWM is now part of Mativ. We find the potential in the impossible.
SWM officially began after a spin-off from the Kimberly-Clark Corporation in 1995. However, our roots go back to 1545 with the opening of our first paper mill (Papeteries de Malaucene) in the south of France.
In the decades that followed, SWM expanded our global paper operations by opening key locations across Europe, North and South America, and China.
Focused on expanding our reach beyond paper, SWM diversified our portfolio, through acquisitions, to include fiber and resin-based products.
SWM is now part of Mativ. Our highly engineered films, adhesive tapes, foams, nets, nonwovens, and papers are designed and manufactured using resins, polymers, and natural fibers for a variety of industries and specialty applications.
