Description Shells sold seafood by the seashore. Before filing for bankruptcy, Shells Seafood Restaurants once owned or managed 45 of its namesake seafood restaurants located mostly in Florida. Nearly all locations were company owned and served mid-priced seafood entrees, including clams, fresh fish, lobster, oysters, scallops, and shrimp. It also offered appetizers, pasta dishes, and desserts, as well as daily fish specials. Shells' locations were mostly free-standing units and catered primarily to young adults and families with a tropical-themed interior.
