A part of Guardian Media Group's GMG Radio division, Smooth FM operates Smooth Radio, a network of half a dozen stations in the UK that target the mature adult demographic by programming mostly easy listening music along with news and talk shows. In addition to its terrestrial stations, Smooth Radio is broadcast by satellite service provider British Sky Broadcasting and digital TV broadcaster Freeview. Guardian Media acquired Smooth FM in 2002.
