Steelscape helps builders and architects change the landscape. The company produces cold rolled, metallic coated, and custom painted steel coils for the US and Canadian commercial construction industry. Its offerings include bare, painted, passivated, oiled and/or resin-coated steel coil in an array of thicknesses, widths, grades, and coating weights. Australia's BlueScope Steel acquired Steelscape and sister companies Varco Pruden Buildings, Metl-Span, and ASC Profiles, for $730 million from Ternium in 2008. Steelscape operates as part of BlueScope Steel's Coated & Building Products North America business, which makes steel buildings and component systems, and generates about 15% of the steel giant's revenues.
