StoneFly makes networking components for storage area networks (SANs). Customers in the consumer products, education, entertainment, financial services, government, health care, insurance, manufacturing, media, professional services, and retail sectors use its storage provisioning appliances to to manage their Internet protocol-based SANs. Customers include Ecker Enterprises and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS). StoneFly was founded in 2000 and was financially backed by Crescendo Ventures, El Dorado Ventures, Palomar Ventures, and Rustic Canyon Group. The company now is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynamic Network Factory, Inc.
