The Great Dane of telecom, TDC is the leading telecommunications network operator in Denmark. The company provides wireless, domestic local and long-distance landline, international, Internet, and cable television services to about 9 million consumer and commercial customers. TDC's international holdings include stakes in telecommunications companies in Sweden, Norway, and Finland, but the bulk of sales are made in Denmark. Investment group Nordic Telephone Company (affiliated with Apax Partners Worldwide, the Blackstone Group International, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, Permira Advisers, and Providence Equity Partners) owns 59% of TDC.
