Description UB Engineering is known for building power plants and oil and gas platforms across India, but the industrial construction company also dabbles in tons of other projects. It builds the electrical and mechanical systems for wastewater treatment plants, steel foundries, cement factories, fertilizer and chemical plants, and paper and pulp plants. UB Engineering contracts for both public and private companies, including the Essar Group, Indian Oil, NTPC, and Tata Steel. The company was founded in 1963, went public on the Bombay Stock Exchange in 1972, and became part of billionaire Vijay Mallya's UB Group in 1988.
