Description UEM Builders, incorporated in Malaysia in 1976 operates through seven major subsidiaries. A member of UEM Group, Malaysia's top conglomerate engaged in infrastructure, the company's core business specialties are in engineering and construction (through UEM Construction and PATI), infrastructure maintenance and facilities management (Projek Penyelenqqaraan Lebuhraya, and Intria Bina), and toll concessions (Penang Bridge and Penang Second Crossing). It also has quarries and premix and ready mixed concrete plants, in addition to owning stainless steel manufacturer HOTO. Internationally, the company owns about 22% of UK-based heavy construction firm Costain Group.
