Description USEC beats radioactive swords into enriched uranium plowshares. The company processes used uranium -- about half of which comes from old Russian atomic warheads -- into enriched uranium, which it then supplies for commercial nuclear power plants. USEC is the radioactive recycler of choice for the "Megatons-to-Megawatts" program, a US-Russian agreement to convert uranium from warheads into nuclear fuel. USEC also processes uranium for the US Department of Energy. The company's NAC subsidiary provides consulting services to nuclear power plant operators and transportation of nuclear materials. The company works with Babcock & Wilcox to manufacture centrifuge components for the American Centrifuge Project.
