Xenos Group doesn't think paperless should be a foreign concept. The company develops content management software that converts print documents into electronic formats. Xenos's applications enable organizations to create electronic files for such applications as electronic statement presentment, enterprise content management, print automation, and customer relationship management. Its software extracts and publishes business information on the Web, giving employees and others easy access to data. Xenos sells to clients in the banking, brokerage, insurance, and telecommunications industries. In early 2010 Actuate acquired Xenos for about $35 million in cash and turned Xenos Group into a division.
