Pros

NONE. Absolutely none unless you're a white christian male.

Cons

Employees are PAID to leave positive reviews on Trustpilot, Google, Glass Door and many other sites. DON'T trust anything positive you read about this company. Customers are PAID to remove negative reviews. Everything about this company is smoke and mirrors. They'll tell you all about their security, technology and drones. They'll even take investors to one of two flagship properties for a tour. That's where it ends..... They don't have the security, technology or drones at any other properties. President is on a mission to reduce or remove ALL cameras because they cost too much. Some bonus are offered, but President will renege on the deal. So you'll put in the work but never see the rewards. Although he's super proud of his Carolina Hurricanes signed hockey stick, that he has in a nice display case paid for by the company. Plus his season tickets, but of course you'll never get to see a game. IT know nothing about IT whatsoever, the guy has never picked up a screwdriver in his life. Everything is outsourced to third parties. Nothing else to say about this guy, nothing more than an under skilled project manager. As for diversity and inclusivity forget it.. You might get a job in the call center, where customers don't get to see you but that's it. If you've ever met 10 Federal at a trade show, or a business meeting you'll know they're 100% white, 100% of the time. As for personal beliefs and religion, you'll be interrogated by several staff members, and constantly encouraged to abandon your faith and go to church with them. Leadership and HR are well aware of the issue and take no action whatsoever. Why would they when they're all in the same club. Bullying and harassment are rife within the walls of 10 Federal, but people need jobs and some people find it hard to leave. Well, until they are laid off because the President is on a mission to hire all his friends and steal employees from his previous company (Public Storage), even though they've been warned multiple times not to do so. Of course the only people that get promoted are also the president's friends, so don't expect any kind of career path here. Owners/Founders are completely checked out of the business, they're too busy taking flying lessons and buying private jets. Try and approach them with an issue, and they pass the buck and tell you to see the president. They may be the face of the business when they want to con investors out of their money, But they are nothing but SNAKE OIL SALESMEN. Job hunters: Look elsewhere. Investors: RUN, run fast..

Pros

I waited some time before leaving this review to make sure I was not coming from an over emotional place. This place was wonderful to work at for the first 3 years of my 3 and a half years there. Compensation was great, benefit were above and beyond what anyone else offered, and work/life balance was important. The last 6 months that changed.

Cons

The first 3 years I worked for this company I was promoted 3 times in short succession and was offered another promotion which I turned down. This is where my time at the company took a turn. I turned down a promotion that would have actually had me seeing less money from my paycheck. I respectfully declined and went about my job as always: dedicated and going above and beyond in every aspect. The company began hiring from a large storage company. I welcomed the changes which seemed to set us in a more stable direction and worked hard to impress the new management that came in. I achieved this but once I turned down the promotion with no hard feelings on my side whatsoever my treatment changed. The manager (now VP) who I looked up to as a mentor began treating me poorly. At this time I was working from home. A couple weeks after the promotion was declined I get a call stating all account managers had to come back to the office. I lived 70 miles from the office and, while not looking forward to the drive, I figured this would put me in a position to learn more hands on. I was grateful because I could come into the office while 4 account managers who had been with the company longer than me did not have the option due to their location. That was definitely a slap in the face for 4 managers who had been dedicated to their work for years. Fast forward to going into the office. The vibe was off and they had already promoted people to take our places in account management. One other account manager and I were able to commute to the office. We also had a new coworker who came from the other storage company who had a working relationship with at least one of the VPs. Shortly after I came back to the office they promoted her and another woman to senior account managers. This position was never made known to me. The woman who had been there a couple months and got the promotion was a friend a VP. The emails congratulating her on her promotion listed the fact she had made cakes for his kids birthdays as a reason for this promotion. Bad form there. My evaluation was flawless and the VP who I thought would be my mentor went to bat for me and got me a larger bonus than all other account managers due to my ability and efficiency. I loved my job and I thought my job loved me. Soon they started firing account managers that were in that position prior to our requirement to come back to the office. They were fired for seemingly good reason if management is to be believed. They couldn’t find the flaw in my work though. I did more than the other AMs combined most days and everything that needed to be done was done. I took on projects and tasks from the president of the company. The culture was getting worse. People being let go left and right for seemingly ridiculous reasons. Tension was high. I was written up for speaking over a caller who had spent almost an hour sexually harassing me over the phone while my superiors laughed. Before the call where he swore and yelled at me I wanted my superiors he was unhappy. I received an email from him. They didn’t reach out to him and instead allowed his to yell and curse at, at least, 3 of us. Needless to say I was not happy about my write up. The next week I told my direct supervisor how much I needed and loved my job and I needed her guidance to not make those mistakes anymore. She hugged me and said she had my back. Almost a month later she fires me for saying a coworker is married. She interpreted this to be sexual which I still cannot wrap my head around. They were looking for any reason to fire me and misinterpreting a harmless statement was the bullet to the head.
