Process Prolonged: The process was prolonged because you brought your Mother into the conversations. This behaviour is highly irregular in a professional setting. However the company wants to respect you and your Mother, and in engaging with your Mother, we have had to have multiple conversations both in a professional and a personal setting. 3. Empathy: Again, we want to reiterate that engaging with your Mother in this scenario which is meant to be professional and not personal was our way of showing empathy towards you and your Mother. In a normal circumstances, we will not have engaged an employee's parent on work matters. However we are conscious that this is your first full time job, which is why we applied extra compassion and engaged with your Mother in addressing her concerns. 4. Communication: In response to your concern about communication regarding terminations, we want to clarify our approach. We believe in discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive matters such as terminations.
