Pros

Some wonderful and intelligent people working here. Beautiful campus and mission. One day this will be a great place to work, I imagine. Great benefits.

Cons

Working to the bone, constant changes, massive disorganization and disconnect between upper management and employees. Low salaries for the work. Many employees doing the work of four people for very low pay. No raises after a year, no prospective for that to change anytime soon, no employee reviews. This all makes for pretty low morale. Things are imploding because of this. In order for a company to be successful you have to pay employees well. They thrive/you thrive. Otherwise you have low employee investment in working here and high turnover. A healthy work life balance is what I expected. Left a great job to come here and really second guessing it now.

Pros

Beautiful place to work, great solidarity between employees.

Cons

Huge disconnect between upper management and workers. This is a less than 1 year old company. So, yes, there are growing pains. I was hired full-time, 40 hours per week. The drag is that this company, who knows their booking capacity and projected occupancy rates weeks ahead of time, waits until the last minute (meaning, a couple of days before) to tell the hourly workers that they are not to come to work on a day when there are no customers. They then tell anyone who complains that they "don't guarantee hours." I call shenanigans. If that's the approach you want to take, hire people part time and then give them more hours when you have them to give. That way, employees will be appreciative of the extra hours instead of bitter for losing a day's pay that they were planning to use for, I don't know... GROCERIES maybe?

Disillusionment of Mission.....

Pros

It's a stunning multi-million dollar campus. The employees/coworkers are kind and genuinely work hard to make it better for others on their team. It's a good place to use as a 'stepping stone' if you are looking for experience and gain skills.

Cons

There are no annual raises period and wages are low to begin with. Within the organization there is very limited growth potential. To move up they have to decide to restructure an entire department. At my interview/contract signing they said there would be bonuses, which have never been given or addressed. The amount of turn over is astonishing. They have lost so many deeply talented and intelligent people due to colossal disorganization, and computer systems that are riddled with glitches. Some systems and many SOP's are still forming.
