Serious Warning to Anyone Considering Joining 1GEN
Pros
Not even a single Pros.
Cons
I am writing this review to warn professionals and freshers who might be considering joining this company. My experience and the experiences shared by multiple employees reveal serious concerns about financial practices, management behavior, work culture, and employee treatment. Anyone considering joining should carefully research before making a decision. Cons 1. Extremely Toxic and Stressful Work Culture • The workplace environment is highly stressful and unhealthy. • Employees are expected to work extremely long hours without proper boundaries. • Work-life balance practically does not exist. • Employees who raise concerns are often ignored or treated negatively. • The environment creates constant pressure and insecurity among staff. 2. Months of Unpaid Salaries • Employees have reportedly not received their salaries for 3–4 months at a time. • Despite not receiving payment, employees are still expected to continue working. • When employees ask about pending salary, management often responds negatively. • Employees are still expected to work day and night even when salaries remain unpaid. 3. TDS Deducted but Not Deposited • TDS is deducted from employee salaries but allegedly not deposited with the Income Tax Department on time. • Some employees reported that TDS has not been deposited for nearly two years. • This creates serious tax complications for employees despite deductions already being made. • This raises serious concerns about financial transparency. 4. Employees Forced to Purchase Work Tools • Employees are expected to buy tools, software, and services required for projects using their own money. • Basic infrastructure that should be provided by the company is shifted onto employees. 5. No Reimbursement for Work Expenses • Work-related travel, food, and other operational expenses are often paid by employees themselves. • Promised reimbursements are delayed or never provided. • Employees end up spending their own money to complete company's work. 6. Mental Harassment Through Unreasonable Rules • Management frequently creates unnecessary and unrealistic rules. • Employees are placed under constant pressure and monitoring. • The leadership style often feels controlling rather than supportive. 7. Exploitation of Employees’ Financial Situations • Management appears to take advantage of employees who cannot easily leave due to financial responsibilities. • Employees who depend on their salary are pushed to continue working under unfair conditions. 8. Unrealistic Work Demands in the Name of “AI” • Projects are often promised using buzzwords like AI without proper planning. • Employees are pressured to deliver unrealistic outcomes within impossible timelines. 9. Weak Client Base and Project Instability • The company appears to have very no stable paying clients. • This creates uncertainty and instability for employees working on projects. 10. Fake Awards and Paid Publicity • The company frequently posts awards and recognitions on social media. • Many employees believe these awards are purchased promotions rather than genuine achievements. • Magazine features and media coverage appear to be paid publicity. 11. Misrepresentation of Work and Projects • Work done by employees or external contributors is sometimes presented publicly as the company’s own innovation. • This creates a misleading public image of the company’s capabilities. 12. Questionable Crowdfunding Practices • Employees have reportedly been asked to collect crowdfunding targets for social initiatives. • Only part of the collected money is reportedly used for the intended purpose. • Employees are forcefully asked to take photos to promote, like and share the activities on social media. 13. Sudden Termination Without Notice • Many employees have reportedly been terminated on the same day without notice. • Even hardworking employees have faced sudden termination. • Frequent resignations and terminations create instability within the company. 14. Employee Surveillance and Restrictive Policies • The company uses its internal application to track employee locations and activity. • Leave policies are extremely restrictive and controlling. • They even track the records of employees' personal social media handles and once they came to know that you enjoyed your weekend they will treat you badly and burden you with unexpected task so as to ruin mental peace. 15. Exit Process Problems • Employees often face delays receiving Full & Final settlement. • Experience letters and relieving letters take more than six months. • Management stops to respond on any email once you leave the company, Even the laptop shipment is paid by the exit employees after leaving the company in the name of company's policy though it is never mentioned in written document anywhere. 16. Lack of Professional HR Structure • HR processes appear inconsistent and poorly managed. • Employee concerns regarding salary, documentation, reimbursements, and policies often remain unresolved and when the employee raise the concern of late salary they are treated badly and politics starts against them. Advice to Job Seekers Before accepting an offer, speak with former employees, verify salary payment history, and understand the company’s policies clearly.
