Pros

I'm only filling up this space so I can submit my review. Absolutely NO PROS for this company. Please avoid.

Cons

Fake. Complete pyramid scheme so please be aware before applying. They prey on recent college graduates who aren't familiar with the industry. The positive reviews posted on here are written by those who are trying to sell their company, they're not true reviews. Please believe me I'm only looking out for my fellow job lookers. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Hi there, I am disheartened to read your review. It's such a shame to hear that you weren't able to find anything positive about your experience with us. Integrity is one of my core values and I do not take it lightly when someone accuses my company of being dishonest or deceitful. You know that I take tremendous pride in my team and in what we do. You know that I’m passionate about providing opportunity to others and that I care deeply about running a solid company. It’s hard for me to understand why you posted these harsh words and serious accusations on such a public forum. Unfortunately, it is clear that you came to some conclusions that are simply false. I do not intend to be defensive, but since your post is visible to others, I feel that it is my duty as the CEO of this company to set the record straight. #1 - I must first address the defamatory accusation that we are a "pyramid scheme". As you may know, a pyramid scheme is an illegal business practice in the United States; and I would like to make it 100% clear to anyone reading this that my company is not engaged in this illegal practice. My clients are Fortune 500 companies and high-profile corporations who would never tolerate representation by an illegally-run business. #2 - You say that we ‘prey’ on recent graduates — but I say quite the opposite. In fact, I’m extremely proud to be one of the rarer firms that doesn’t require 3 to 5 years of experience for an entry level position. Moreover, I’m even prouder to offer the opportunity for a lucrative and rewarding career. Here’s some food for thought. There are over 2 million people who graduate from college each year. Very few of them get management positions right out of school. These positions usually require a track record of success one’s field, which can take years to develop. This is why I think our management training program here is so effective. It is not only fully comprehensive but highly accelerated. Few entry level positions offer daily one-on-one coaching, non-seniority based growth, tons of travel opportunities, and the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop into a role where they can oversee their own client and campaign. I have spent the last 14 years developing recent graduates into successful branch managers -- and I can assure you that the consensus of those individuals is not that they were ‘preyed’ upon. I truly hate to leave things on bad terms with anyone that I’ve worked with and I hate having to write acerbic responses like this. I would, however, be extremely interested in hearing more from you about your thought process, so that I can use your feedback in a constructive manner. I'm always looking to improve and would love it if you could give me a call and flesh out your thought process. Ask for me - (248) 702-6750. Best regards, Ken/CEO

Hey there! I'm so sorry to read this review and see that you didn't have a positive experience here! I'm really happy that you enjoyed our work environment, but I never like for anyone to part ways with any ill feelings. I really wish you would have come to chat with me about your compensation concerns! We do offer a base pay option, and it sounds like that might have made things better for you. It sounds like you've got some great ideas of how we can improve and I'd like to speak with you immediately while these ideas are still fresh in your mind. I'm really open to your feedback and would love for you to give me a call this week or next, whenever you have some time. Since your review is anonymous, I don't have contact information for you, but I really want to make sure that we chat. I would never want for you to leave here feeling that you didn't benefit from the experience, and I'd like to see if there is anything I can do to rectify your view of my firm. Please give me a ring at the office -- (248) 702-6750 -- just ask for me if someone else picks up. I really hope to hear from you. Ken/CEO

Aggressive, Commission-Based Sales

Pros

The atmosphere is fun and positive. Opportunities for advancement if you hit sales goals.

Cons

This is a full-time sales job with your only compensation coming from commission. Though there technically is a salary option, you have to be able to consistently hit a certain number of sales every week, which is impossible to guarantee as you will be cold-calling small businesses who are not even aware you are coming. You are required to memorize multiple scripts. You will be in the office and out in your sales territory from 8-5 every day, if not later, and it is very time consuming to prepare your territory for the next day. You're expected to do this on your own time, outside of the office, after work. I was not given any product training until about three weeks into the job. I was fired after four weeks for not making consistent sales. My main problem with 2313 is their insistence that hard work will yield results. If you are not confident in yourself, you will probably not do well in sales, even if you work hard and do everything you're told. To me, it's dishonest to say that *anyone* can do this job. It's not for every personality. In this job, you are required to "overcome objections," which basically means to not take "no" for an answer from the people you try to sell to every day. When reviews say that this job requires you to "get out of your comfort zone," this means that you are required to treat people in ways you're not necessarily comfortable treating them and stretching the truth. If you're late to work more than three times, you're automatically fired. I was fired after only a month,

Hi there! Ken here! As our HR team had previously responded, I appreciate your feedback as well. I haven't directly been involved with Glassdoor until recently, so please pardon my very belated reply. It's been a while since you wrote this review, but I wanted to personally respond to you nevertheless. I appreciate your approval of our fun atmosphere and you are 100% accurate that hitting sales goals sets the stage for awesome advancement opportunities. I think that you raised a lot of interesting points in this review, and I’d like to address a few of them here. Firstly, you are correct about the sales element of the entry level, and you are also correct that we do offer a salary option to all of our employees. You’re also accurate in that practicing sales presentations is part of the training for all of our account managers. It is also still the case that territory management and preparation for the day/week are necessary activities for anyone to succeed in their roles. It is also true that repeated tardiness is not tolerated. This is definitely useful information for anyone reading this, so thank you for sharing these expectations. Though you were only here for one month, I hope that you benefitted from the opportunity to learn about sales. Most businesspeople will tell you how essential it is to understand how to drive revenue. With that said, very few people start a career because they love its entry level responsibilities. I can understand and respect that the entry level element of the position was not up your alley. It's certainly not for everyone. As you know, though, the larger scope of your position was to advance into a management role rather quickly. I really value leadership by example, and I think it’s extremely important for all of our managers to have had first-hand experience doing the work of the people they coach. I know this review goes back a couple of years now, but I can’t wrap my brain around how it’s possible that 3 weeks went by without you receiving training. While this is truly hard for me to believe, I completely appreciate that a person’s perception is his/her reality and if you felt this way, I really want to apologize to you if I or my company dropped the ball. Our ability to effectively train new employees is actually one of the things that I am most proud of about my company, so perhaps if you saw us now you’d be impressed. The most interesting part of your review is where you question the idea that hard work yields results. I know that not everyone views the world through the same lens that I do, but to me, the two are inextricably linked. Of course, hard work isn’t the only ingredient in becoming successful, but I think it’s got to be up there in the top three. Do I think that ‘anyone’ can be successful in our management training program? No. I totally agree with you that it’s not for everyone. Do I think that anyone who makes it through our interview process (and is hired) has the potential to have a thriving career in our business? YES. But, with that said, there is nothing automatic about becoming successful here — or anywhere else for that matter. The last part of your review that I think it’s important to address is where you felt that you had to ‘treat people in ways you’re not necessarily comfortable’ with. I value integrity above all else, and I wholeheartedly believe that a person should never have to compromise his/her morals to be successful. The way I see it, truth doesn’t have a gray area, and treating others with respect should never be optional. To wrap up this long response, I want to thank you for taking the time to not only share your feedback but to spend a month with our company. I wish we had provided a more positive experience here for you. I’m sure by now you've found a position that is better suited to you and I truly hope that you are happy and doing well! I’ve always thought that a relationship doesn’t have to be permanent to be successful — and I hope that you at least learned a couple of good skills that you were able to take with you to your current role. Best regards, Ken/CEO
