Relaxed yet professional environment Encouraging employer who will help you develop your skills Exposure to 'real life' accounting - via both self-employed and small businesses Varied client portfolio giving the opportunity to learn quickly about how different organisations and industries operate Learning how to file statutory and compliance documents required by HMRC/Companies House etc.
Cons
Small office vibe may be off-putting if one enjoys working in a large organisation Benefits may not be as attractive as larger companies due to economies of scale. However the value in the experience gained, (i.e more quickly than at a bigger firm) can offset this in the longer-term.
