Cons
The company took a sharp turn after the 2023 town hall meeting. New policies, rules, and work schedules were introduced, shifting the focus from delivering quality work to prioritizing upsells and sales. The founder set an ambitious and somewhat unrealistic target of 21 CR for the upcoming financial year, which required not just the sales team, but also the CS, design, tech, and graphics teams to contribute to achieving it. This relentless push for upsells and monthly targets often diverted employees' attention from their core responsibilities, leading to subpar work and dissatisfied clients. Despite promises of compensation for exceeding sales targets, these incentives often fueled unhealthy competition, fostering a toxic environment and encouraging groupism. To make matters worse, office politics started to infiltrate from the top down. The founder began assigning "weekly tasks" to senior management, instructing them to keep their teams in the office until 9 PM, document their presence, and share it in a seniors-only group—an effort aimed at enforcing overtime, regardless of the impact on team morale or work quality. The HR team is, unfortunately, not much of a support system either. Instead of helping employees navigate the challenges, they seem more focused on enforcing harsh policies that add to the stress. For instance, if you arrive more than 15 minutes late for three consecutive days, your salary is docked—a policy that feels more punitive than corrective. New hires also face a disappointing reality. On their first day, they're encouraged (or rather, pressured) to post positive reviews on platforms like Google, Glassdoor, and AmbitionBox. This is done to maintain the company’s image, but it’s misleading. The first day may feel special with a free lunch and some welcome goodies, but that’s where the goodwill ends. After that, the excitement fades, and you're left with the daily grind in a workplace that doesn’t quite live up to the initial impression.
