3C Technology Solutions Response
7yI’d like to address this comment in a way that is transparent, and hopefully will help you understand our business practices better.
While we value the right for everyone to have an opinion, we disagree with your accusation of “unethical business practices”. When we replace a computer, we advise our medical clients to destroy the hard drive in a manner to ensure that PHI (protected health information) does not end up in the wrong hands. As part of our computer replacement policy, we offer to destroy the hard drive properly free of charge, or they can keep the computer and pay to have another company do the same. If the client elects for us to do the work we destroy the hard drive and the procurement officer determines how to handle the remaining components. The systems are then disassembled and sorted by our interns into parts to be recycled and valuable parts to be listed for resale. This process subsidizes our internship program for high school and college students. At this time we have two paid interns working flexible schedules around their academic obligations. These internships provide a great way for young people to gain working experience in their field of interest.
Benefits are available for every full-time employee at 3C. We offer an affordable healthcare program, a 401K with guaranteed 3% contribution from 3C up to 22 paid days off per year. We continually making efforts to supplement our benefits package and are striving to implement a rotating 4 day work week. From a career path perspective; we are implementing a more defined path and structure so new employees can better understand their role and responsibilities from day one. Moreover, this structure allows current employees to understand role requirements and tenure for each category and associated pay range. We conduct annual reviews with every employee. In terms of employee turnover at 3C, we are happy to say that we are well under industry average with a 13% attrition rate over the past 10 years.
While we may not agree on the ethics of our business practice; we respect your opinion and appreciate your feedback as we strive to maintain a positive work environment for our employees.
