Pros

Very nice people to work for. Work from home. Flexible hours. Sometimes content is interesting.

Cons

They say you make $10-$30 an hour. No, you don't. I have worked for them for 3 years and the rate is $7 - $10 an hour. Don't believe otherwise. And at this point, they have overhired, making jobs very, very difficult to get. You spend more time trying to pick up a job than actually working some days.

Pros

You wake up in your boxer briefs, no problem--head to your laptop and start working. Their software is intuitive and easy to operate. Communication is great. The company seems to be staffed with talented, young people; and that's a plus my friend, as most other companies behave rigidly like institutions. You work your own schedule without limitations (other than their deadlines of course).

Cons

This is in no way a sustainable form of employment. Let me restate it differently. You'll sit your donkey down for an entire day--and perhaps night--and walk out with 15 dollars from it. If you live in rural Siberia and can afford the fast-speed internet there, this would probably not be a problem as you'll get 15 dollars a day even in the cold Siberian winter as long as you do the job that's available. For the rest of us, it just doesn't work. Not even close. Not even minimum salary. It's such a great concept; but it just doesn't work. This should only be the kind of thing you do when you're bored and have nothing else to do at the house. When the company says you'll make 10-30 dollars an hour, I don't think they really believe it. It's just a marketing statement.

Pros

Set your own schedule. Work from home or from anywhere that has a good internet connection. They provide good training and clear standards to follow. Using their transcription software is significantly better than typing from scratch, like you do in some other companies. You get paid weekly.

Cons

In general, pay is low for all the work involved, no benefits, high taxes. There are too many contractors and too few jobs available most of the time. It often feels like you spend more time refreshing the screen and fighting to claim jobs than you do actually working. Jobs that require a lot of work and used to pay well before are now paying half that rate. Previously responsive management / operations team are often very slow to respond and sometimes do not even respond at all anymore. Though they are aware of this problem, they do nothing to fix it. It seems that they do not really care about their longtime contractors anymore and are only interested in adding new people, thereby making everything worse for everyone involved (less jobs, lower pay, worse experience overall).
