Pros

You can get some decent experience and the people are generally pleasant. The paychecks are only late a few times a year.

Cons

Inexperienced and often amateurish management at all levels, nepotism, a strong tendency to promote only those who will kiss the appropriate amount of butt and an expectation of loyalty from the employees while the company itself shows none at all. If they like you and do a good job you could still be fired at any time and if they don't like you you will be fired even sooner regardless of performance. Management creates the hostile environment and favoritism then blames employees for not loving it. There is now a very high turnover at 3dcart which isn't surprising considering the low pay and hostile attitude from management towards employees at all levels. 3dcart has really taken a turn for the worse over the last 18 months.

Thank you for giving your feedback. We're sorry to hear of your experience with management, and that it seems your perception of our company environment is so different than ours. We work hard to make 3dcart a welcoming place for our employees and we do not sense the hostile environment that you unfortunately perceived. While it's true that we promote existing employees into management positions, these employees have always earned their promotions based on tangible goals and metrics. In all cases, we conduct internal interviews in which multiple candidates are considered for the promotion. 3dcart also provides management training to help our employees without previous management experience to develop into their position. We feel it's childish to expect the CEO, founder, and owner of the company to apologize for the success of 3dcart — it's an inspiration for every member of our team to know what you can achieve with years of dedication and hard work.

Great Company, but..

Pros

The employees here have a nice attitude and like to make the work environment enjoyable. There are a few perks to working here.

Cons

When first starting at 3dcart the company was a great work environment and no micro management. Employees enjoyed coming to work. There has been major changes in the Support Department and change is not always good. The supervisor are constantly micro managing making it uncomfortable to work with someone watching over your back. This is not the same with other departments. There are things that go on in Support that I am sure the Ceo Gil is not aware of. When your employees are not happy that is a recipe for company failure. If there are rules set it should be followed by everyone and not only pertain to the floor agents. There are supes in Support that get away with a lot and this shows that the director turns the shoulder while they are strict on the floor agents. I'm sure that some employees have felt harassed at times by supervisors as well. 3dcart Support has become the weak point of the company. It's like a sinking ship.

Pros

I was getting paid, you get no benefits, no 401k, I paid taxes so no problems with the IRS. Not all of these are pros, I know.

Cons

I wasn't allowed to grow or move forward in the company. I would work every week, hard work to learn and become better at my job and I was successful at it but they didn't notice my progress or effort. They kept me in the same position for years. I would apply for other positions in the company and they would tell me that I don't qualify then hire someone of their own liking who does not qualify and they have to train from scratch anyway or they tell me they have filled the position when they have not yet done so. I also noticed alot of favouritism as well. During the reviews they always have something to say that I did wrong and don't care about how I review them as an employee who has been with them for a while. I happy for those who enjoy working at this company but there are too many employees who have left or who are still there who don't feel that way.
