First place that I have worked where being human is understood
Pros
This place has been a great place for the almost year that I have worked here. The atmosphere is welcoming and you’d expect that to fade as you become accustomed to your role and coworkers, but for me it hasn’t. I noticed the other day that mistakes (normal human errors) are typically treated as a chance for growth and not focused on or held over your head at a later date. That having a hectic schedule in life doesn’t mean that you aren’t putting in your time and contributing. I have seen people have to step out for random life emergencies and it is always met with compassion and understanding for the employee, meanwhile those who are “left behind” to pick up the slack do so with no grumbling but with a willingness to help their fellow coworkers. It truly is a great environment to work for and I tend to shy away from saying that business are like a family despite some people in the work place actually being family, so with that in mind this place is as close to a caring family environment than I have ever seen in a workplace before.
Cons
The biggest con right now is the expansion of the company and all the kerfuffles that that brings. Having to constantly train new people or at the very least adapt to new people in new positions while still maintaining the excellent productivity can get exhausting.
