Pros

The projects are technically challenging and provide good opportunities for career development. From my personal experience, I have had a positive relationship with technical leadership and management, without excessive pressure or expectations of regular overtime. The company provides additional benefits, including a monthly corporate delivery allowance of around €100 and a separate drinks allowance of approximately €30 per month.

Cons

The Malta office currently follows a strict work-from-office policy, with exceptions generally limited to lead-level specialists. I have heard from colleagues in some other departments that regular overtime is common. Compensation is one of the weaker points. Salaries can vary significantly between employees with similar seniority and responsibilities. Some people are reported to be earning around €2k net per month, while others at a comparable level may reach slightly above €3k net monthly. Given current living costs, this can be challenging. Apartments within a reasonable distance of the office often start at around €1,100/month, while finding accommodation farther away may bring costs down to roughly €800/month. Additional expenses such as food and utilities can easily add another €300/month (partially offset by the company-provided delivery allowance). For someone renting alone, a €2k net salary can feel quite restrictive. Currently, salary review and adjustment processes appear to be paused until after the game release.

Pros

The team is talented and the projects are interesting to work with.

Cons

Very political and outdated business mindset. Management and production is toxic. Constant "silent" crunches (they ask you nicely to do unpaid overtime, even during weekends). If you are not Ukrainian you will have a harder time getting promotions and opportunities. Communication is a big problem, if you don't speak their language you will be cast aside.
