Pros

Nothing unless your married into the family

Cons

Sales practices involve calling up and pretending to be another company, the telecom help service. The sales method is tricking the customer with dishonesty to get an 'engineer' out (just a sales person) to see them. The worst kind of hard selling Contract hours are 9-5.30, but always had to be mega early and always had to stay late for after work meetings, every single day. Most of these meeting were to have a go at the call centre staff The management are rude. The staff turnover is ridiculous because of how badly treated the staff are, and how quickly staff who under perform are let go. After 3 months, out of the 9 people I completed the training course with only one remained. The sales role in the company is the hardest and everyone in sales is treated as a lesser Any positive reviews about the company will only come from management and owners.

Pros

Half decent commission. some of the people there are ok ( not the management )

Cons

where to start. This is a company who treat their staff as bad as their customers. we were encouraged to rip the customer off to every last penny that we could, hide hidden costs, lie, cheat and steal if needed. the sales guys dressed as engineers and if there was ever a problem with equipment that had been sold they sent one of these 'engineers' out to look at it when the only intention was to sell something else...even if the customer had maintenance agreements. they own 2 other companies, portsmouth communications and red care communications so if a customer kicks off that badly and tries to leave they call as one of the other companies as the knight in shining armour to save the day when in fact its the same company operating under a different name. the management are absolutely useless and the phrase s&*t rolls downhill couldnt be any truer here. they are told not to socialise with the bottom rung monkeys and all go to a different pub then the others. there is no loyalty or sense of belonging. you are belittled in front of everyone for any little mistake. i worked in the telesales department and was screamed at if my call time was a tiny bit under what they wanted. I had to phone up under false pretences and lie about some of the things that i was talking about. the guys who sold telephone systems would take great pride in boasting about how they stitched people into 84 month contracts for stuff that costs hundreds and they sell for many thousands by hiding the costs. my advise to anybody thinking of dealing with this company is stay well clear!!!!!!!!!! and also, all the good reviews on this page and others are written by the management of the company, they make no secret of this when they talk about getting the company image better. they think that fake reviews will save them instead of actually treating staff and customers better.

Pros

Management are always open to additional training opportunities and training is actually encouraged Management have a great open door policy The team I work with is great fun Fridays: Finish at 4pm and get a free drink! The atmosphere in the office is happy and friendly The summer party was brilliant!!!! The role I have is varied and I have spent time in all departments so I have a good idea of how everyone works together to make things happen

Cons

Dealing with third parties can make the workload tough as they can be a nightmare to deal with

5G Communications Response

The whole team love the Friday Afternoon Meetings with a free drink and an overview of the good things that have happened that week, and 5G do throw a good party :-) but joking aside, thank you for the great review and for noting the things we do here to make our Employees happy and engaged. All of our Managers have an open door policy as you mention and this really helps the free-flow of ideas and information. Thanks for the great review!
