Terrible Work Environment

Pros

Some good employees work here. Smaller company feel. One of the owners is awesome. Interesting work.

Cons

Definition of a toxic work environment. Some people in charge are very authoritative and have big egos. Honestly I liked the work and a lot of people there but a couple bad eggs really make it a terrible place to work. As a result they have a very high turnover rate. I should have listened to the reviews before me on here. Don't make the same mistake as me.

Pros

Any "pro" about 5th Axis is an illusion. The "nice" people there are extremely fake, dishonest and not genuine. They change their mind whenever the wind blows just because he said she said.

Cons

Verbal assault, sexual harassment, extremely low pay, undefined expectations, dishonest and abusive coworkers, incompetent management and owners, they value permission less than forgiveness. They're not "comfortable, transparent and collaborative," they're dishonest, disrespectful, and lie about you and spread gossip and rumors behind your back that are completely NOT work related.

Pros

Pay, benefits, location (kind of)

Cons

There are a lot of cons to this place. First off, unless you are in assembly, cnc, deburr, or some other form of production do not expect to get promoted or acknowledged for your work. They bombard you to give them positive ratings on glassdoor and indeed after your 30 days before you really see how it is there. Management constantly fights with each other and have openly said they don't like certain people. They make fun of employees in front of other employees which hurts morale. They do not really enforce mask wearing especially with the unvaccinated. There have been several employees who have been open about not having the vaccine and walk around without a mask with no fear of punishment. The company even has management who feel the culture of the company could damage the growth of the company because there is a lack of training, onboarding, and when asked how to do certain things, their response is "I don't know, figure it out". Many good employees have left and will continue to leave if this do not change soon. For Christmas, employees who were employed under a year where only given a mug for a "bonus" which was a slap in the face for overtime and effort put in. Overall, my experience at 5th Axis had been a negative one. I wish someone had left a review like this before I accepted my position 11 months ago. Just hoping to save someone from the same negative experience.
