Toxic! Worst decision I’ve made in a long time.

Pros

Remote worker friendly which is likely the main reason people work there way below market.

Cons

Daily shifting priorities by a panicked founder where he views engineering as a second class citizen. Have you ever heard of a technology company where engineering was an after thought? Run...don’t walk away from this company. Don’t believe the mission-driven hype....That’s all there is to this company. There are reasons that it’s a revolving door with most tenures are ~2-3 months ...do your homework.

Pros

I met amazing people who worked at 7 Cups. None of them work there anymore, because they were all impulsively let go overnight

Cons

* No follow up for trolls on 7 Cups site, meaning if you are banned or removed from the site it takes 30 seconds to make a new account. 7 Cups is not a safe site, especially not for teens. There were reports of racist, sexually inappropriate, and assault based chats that could not be controlled due to the ignorance of the CEO, Glen, to invest in proper safety requirements to ensure safety of its members. Despite all this, 7 Cups is advertised and sold as a safe space for teens and adult members. * Government project was grossly mismanaged and led to an impulsive decision by the CEO to remove the entire leadership team * No oversite of company. We had a "board of advisors," who had no power over CEO and all eventually resigned due to CEO, Glen, ignoring all of their guidance and advice * CEO, Glen, siloed leadership team and doled out conflicting marching orders to various teams * CEO, Glen, directly asked leadership to fudge numbers in order to attract investors * CEO, Glen, would lie directly to prospective clients about the platform to close a sale. One that comes to mind is that we were GDPR compliant. 7 Cups is still not GDPR compliant. * Shady and likely illegal accounting practices * CEO, Glen, is manipulative, dangerous, and likely has a serious unchecked mental illness (yes the irony here is unreal, since 7 Cups is a mental health company)
