Management is a joke

Pros

Great coworkers who are fun and generally intelligent. The company has a very competitive benefits package.

Cons

Management makes consistently poor decisions and does not trust the staff they hired to do any of their job functions. Instead of listening to long-time employees, they marginalize them. Despite being a woman ran company, the upper managers are openly sexist.

Pros

While at 720, I worked with a lot of great professionals. People in that office are doing really solid work. There was a great sense of camaraderie. I really enjoyed some of the projects I contributed to, producing a great work product alongside talented individuals. It was a relaxed office, jeans were okay most days. Generally were accepting of a flexible work schedule, allowing flex work time that made balancing commutes and home life easier.

Cons

There are some real problems in management. While there was flex time, one manager was known for keeping tabs on who was there when -- but mostly just using is as a "I was here later" complaint tactic instead of realizing who had been there early in the morning. So great if you're a late person, not so great if you're a morning person. There are some serious problems communicating with staff. And morale problems are approached in a way that a lunch or company outing would fix much deeper problems. Micromanaging runs rampant from the top, but in a kind of schizophrenic way. The way management handles discussing money and revenue was also really unsettling. Some days it was as if there was money to just throw at projects. And other days the management was making it appear that losing a single contract or bid would do the company in. I don't think it actually would, but that was the atmosphere.
