Pros

Staff discounts and that’s it

Cons

Very little formal training, they use the more experienced people to train new hires which loses you commission. Management is full of under-qualified people that don’t know what they are doing and have full control over your role and the store you work at, and any criticism of them is twisted into insults which leads to your discipline. Unrealistic targets for sales and mechanics, leading to skipped lunches and unpaid overtime. Mechanics are pressured to upsell unnecessary parts and labour to meet the extreme goals, and many mechanics screw over others by taking high paying services and are then praised for it. Small stores are routinely compared to the bigger stores and scrutinised for naturally making less profit. Constant staffing issues, high staff turnover and they hire just about anyone, including people that have never even touched a bike before. It’s very sink or swim, they only care about the people that make the most money for the company and let them get away with a lot of things that are against procedure or would lead to anyone else getting disciplined
