Pros
Was offered a full time position and wanted to negotiate salary, sick days and benefits. They asked for my salary expectations and then came back in the offer letter that they'd pay me the $1 extra after 3 months. They wouldn't budge on the sick days and benefits starting on day 1. In my in person interview they expressed that they wanted more of a work like balance as everyone was working overtime, yet are too cheap to pay me what I asked for, but decided to make me wait for 3 months which resulted in $480. Talk about being very petty and you want to bring good people on board, well guess what, you have to pay for that type of work experience. They think they can just suck you in cause most people are desparte and they can work you like a dog. So I had turned away the opportunity and thanked them, but without even receiving a return email back with the acknowledgement. Very unprofessional. Some advice, If you want to get good people in the door, have some flexibility with negotiating. There are good companies out there and after dealing with HR, you should be fired. You lack any form of what real world expectations are these days.
Cons
I just know that I wouldn't be a good fit based in the interaction I had trying to negotiate into my offer. I lost all excitement.
