Pros

Individually, the marketing people who work here are nice but the overall management team is a mess.

Cons

When you start working here, you go through a major "training". They give you materials that they expect you to read to customers WORD FOR WORD. Almost what I would imagine telemarketing to be. Have marketing experience previous to this job, I know that one of my strengths is having a conversation with someone. Speaking with them as opposed to speaking at them. This has never been a problem in the past but since AFV gives you zero room for your own personality to come through, I was not a good fit. They also told me that I "misrepresented" my confidence in speaking with people which was shocking because that was the first time anyone had every said I was not goo dealing with people. They expect everyone to use the same cookie cutter pitch and answer in the same cookie cutter way. You might as well have an automated system do this job. If you want to work in telemarketing, by all means, work for AFV. If you want to work in house at an actual company instead of being a hired vendor for that company, looks elsewhere. I am now working in marketing in house at a wonderful company and they cannot believe the uncreative tactics used at AFV.

Pros

Good right out of college job to gain marketing and IT industry landscape.

Cons

Little to no advancement opportunities. Low salaries for more experienced employees. Not a career employer - it's a job employer. Managing partners are always disappointed, angry, and sometimes mean when people leave for better opportunities instead of being happy for their advancement. That about sums up the 3 managing partners.

Pros

You can get a raise every year if you prove yourself worthy enough for one

Cons

Worked in a basement = no light & mold Randy is the only boss that shows up daily and he is the biggest micro-manager I've ever met You are tethered to your desk and phone for 9 hours The pay is awful for the amount of hours you put in There is no great training to speak of If you work on the Cisco side of things, Cisco provides you with a telecom phone and laptop so you can work from home -- but Randy doesn't allow you to work from home
