Decent pay. Great people at a local level

CEO doesn't have a clue on how to run a company! He's been terminated by other companies and it shows!! Upper management he has put in place cares nothing about the people at all !! Only how the numbers look and the $$$$ Very sad !! This used to be one of the best companies to work for back when the father ran it, ( Mack) now it's about at the bottom of the transportation companies I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy!!

Pros

none really,Long hours,push you to 70hr if they can,NO overtime pay. The Health Insurance as of 2014 was glorified obamacare.

Cons

Was a Decent Company,that cared about its employees during the Mack Dove days. Now in the 3rd generation Reid Dove days-they will cut 10 throats to save a Dollar. An LTL trucking company that Outsources its Line haul runs to Independent owner operators. I was a 19 year employee,terminated after i exhausted 12 weeks FMLA due to any injury.

Great Pay, Many opportunities to get lots of hours. Decent benefits.

Cons

I was Required to work WAY to many hours for years. Tried transferring to a different department but even then they ended up forcing us to work 60 hours every week. I and others was actually told by management that if we didn't like it we could always go flip burgers for a living. Needless to say many good employees have left the company because of this reason.
