At least it's inclusive

Pros

They're pretty committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for many different demographics.

Cons

Protocols are changed often without warning or any input from the people who will actually have to implement them, and sometimes employees receive contradictory information from different sources because nobody knows what's going on. Management has largely been outsourced to TX and CA and those managers have their own local teams too and don't care about their MO subordinates at all.

Pros

remote work for entire department

Cons

Benefits are lacking, workload is ridiculously high. The company culture is systematically chaotic in that their processes are backwards; even requesting policy documents is a challenge when the department who handles the requests has to email you to ask you what you meant when you requested a policy document from THEIR request form's drop-down menu. Pre-filled letters are nearly non-existent and we are forced to free-form nearly every letter, we have 25+ different system passwords to keep track of and only one of them is integrated into our claims system, there is no real structure to claim handling and managers are not experienced enough to provide meaningful handling instructions. Management is aging out so the next generation of managers are younger and very inexperienced. They focus mainly on metrics when performing file reviews because they simply don't know the job well enough to comment on anything besides their spreadsheets. They rely on the training adjusters have received from previous employers and do not have an education/training department. They currently handle 11 states and have yet to provide any state-specific training. Instead, they rely on adjusters to create "cheat sheets" for each state (through a simple Google search) and then pass them around to other adjusters--this is their idea of training.
