Pros

The biggest pros at this job were the travel perks and I do miss those a lot! You get discounts at a lot of hotels, and you start with three weeks of paid vacation. The medical benefits were decent but not amazing. There are some weird and unpleasant members at AAA that you have to deal with, but it was also nice to build up a client base that you worked with regularly. Those people will love you and they find you invaluable if you stick around long enough. I know lots of my clients were really upset when I left.

Cons

The pay is pretty low for the amount of work you have to do. And its not easy work! Customer service and sales are always a challenge, but pair that with a client who missed their flight because of a hurricane, or you have a last minute cancellation because they "just don't want to go anymore" but they want all their money back. It can be pretty stressful at times. You wouldn't believe some of the crazy things members want you to do for them sometimes.

Pros

I think that most of the employees at AAA are friendly, try to do the best for the member and it is a pretty good culture. We are not asked to work a million hours and they have reasonable expectations. The benefits and the amount of PTO we get are phenomenal. This year I will get 22 days of PTO and nine holidays.

Cons

For the most part the employees are friendly, great to work with, but we have a few that are grumpy and entitled. I think at times AAA is too nice and keep the grumpy employees around too long.

Pros

Travel perks, merchandise discount, free membership, coworkers were nice.

Cons

Management can be untrustworthy, petty, retaliatory. They act like a national company, but be ready to make out of state members angry. Terrible customer service. Try to make suggestions to improve and deemed insubordinate. You will wear many hats, do so many jobs, and be underpaid for all of them. That is, until a wave of turnaround hits and they might lure you to stay with a raise. Be ready to be pushy like a car salesman, especially for their credit card. So much potential, but management, especially corporate, are awful.
