Pros

Very nice people, respectful, fair, and stable place to work. Able to move around divisions. Field employees are priceless, with huge hearts, hard working ethics, and always a sense of humor. Office employees not so much.

Cons

1. Opportunity comes slooooowly. It takes decades to advance. If you are impatient or have talent, go somewhere else that will reward it. 2. Salary is way low compared to comparable companies in Pittsburgh. 3. Managers are "good-old-boys" and the top will always be Abarta family. So if you have corner-office talent, go somewhere else.

Pros

Opportunity to build relationships with employees and customers outside of Abarta; to help them attain goals and make sales quotas. Seeing success through numbers and delivering happiness to customers. Flexible. Not stuck in one place for the duration of the day.

Cons

The demand of upper management and lack of team effort. As the account manager, your shoulders need to be broad and be ready to help in all aspects of the business. No time to complete only your job; high demand of multitasking in all areas of the business. Wouldn’t be an issue if compensation was worth it.

Pros

Family friendly, they do as they preach, and are honest about all their dealings. Couldn't fine a better place to work!

Cons

ABARTA is a small company and does not have operations outside of the Northeast. Dispite a being a great company, it would be nice to see them expand.
