Pros

NONE. Contract at your own risk. Companies like this are why servers should unionize. They talk big. They advertise that they get the best servers because they pay the best. Don't believe it. You need to fight for every penny. Good luck collecting on the notaries you pay for out of pocket. Lot's of miscommunication and plenty of issues.

Cons

I have been working as a Process Server for nearly 5 years. It took one person to lie about my service and without warning or any way to stand up for myself, my contract was pulled by ABC Legal. People don't want to be served, so fair warning to ALL servers before contracting with this company. THEY DON'T CARE IF SOMEONE LIES OR TRIES TO RUIN YOUR REPUTATION, THEY BLINDLY TAKE THE DEFENDANTS SIDE WITHOUT QUESTION. This is probably due to many years of hiring process servers who provide gutter service, so they are used to the defendants being right. It wasn't until I worked for ABC that any kind of complaint was filed against me which I feel is due to their poor record and past issues which makes them a target and they have nothing in place to protect true professional servers like myself nor do they stand up for their servers either. If you are a REAL PROFESSIONAL WITH REAL INTEGRITY WITH A GOOD REPUTATION - DON'T CONTRACT WITH THEM! The first jerk who denies service and files a false claim of improper service because they are stalling and don't want to get served will get your contract pulled and your name dragged through the mud!!! Also, being SEVEN MONTHS PREGNANT, why would I perjure myself on an affidavit or risk losing my job, my lively hood, and my state registration by performing bad service!?!? I WOULDN'T!!! Now, I'm trying to prepare monetarily as a sole provider and find a new job at seven months pregnant. Real stand up company, right?

Pros

Free snacks, relaxed dress code, $40 towards Orca card, use of gym and espresso machine... that's really about it.

Cons

Dishonest management, false promises, poor leadership, no opportunity for advancement, unfair compensation, unethical values, socially inept staff, zero HR department with a self entitled and completely clueless CEO motivated entirely by greed. I was hired on at ABC Legal under the premise that I would be able to work in my own style that would produce the best results - a lie. I was told that based upon my experience, I could easily make between $50,000 and $70,000 within the first 6 months - a massive lie. I was told the company was a great place for advancement and longevity - another blatant lie. In fact, just about everything I was told about ABC Legal was completely untrue. The CEO is one of the most out of touch people I have ever met, only listening to the kind of feedback that he wants to hear. He would throw tantrums for finding a few dirty dishes in the sink or for having to wait while another employee made an espresso. He is a prime example of someone who was handed the keys to the kingdom and is akin to a child that throws its toys out of the crib when it doesn’t get it’s way. The management at ABC Legal are obsessed with numbers, profits and little else. People have very little value at ABC Legal and it's clear to see within working there for only a few months. They promote some of the worst people I've ever met in full knowledge of their toxic behaviors and mindsets. One manager said, upon being promoted, that he intended to eliminate the "excess joy" within the office. His obvious inexperience, insufficient basic human compassion and complete lack of management skills did exactly that. He would berate other departments behind their backs, lie to his own team members faces and slander them when they were not present. Anyone who dared to object to this behavior was promptly threatened and/or fired with little or no valid reasoning. ABC Legal does not have a HR department and therefore acts with impunity when it comes to the treatment and/or dismissal of their staff. There is zero transparency in regards as to how they handle serious HR issues. Most of the staff are either too afraid, inexperienced or socially undeveloped to challenge the management's decisions, creating a deplorably hostile work environment. They hire younger staff who are desperate to gain experience, only to overwork them with little compensation for the efforts they exert. The company elects only to promote staff who are willing and ruthless enough to step on the backs of others to get ahead. Their turnover is atrocious. Gossip, sexism and favoritism are rampant and mostly goes unchecked. Misery sets the tone at ABC Legal and it’s tangible from the moment you begin to peer beyond the initial BS. It’s a glorified collection agency that serves and feeds off of many of America’s giant debt buying corporations. The Kobe building that ABC Legal currently occupies in Seattle used to be a Japanese theater before the second World War. Those Japanese were sent to internment camps and most never returned. Ironically, that’s the exact feeling you get while working at ABC Legal. An internment camp fueled by greed and motivated by pure selfishness. Despite their attempts to remodel the facade and interior of the building, the fact remains that ABC Legal is a company that is rotten at its core.

Pros

-The People.. there are staff here that are absolutely lovely people, excluding upper level management -Free snacks, not always stocked, and free lunch every now and then -ORCA Card -Benefits, great vision, sub par health insurance

Cons

Wow, where do I start?! This Company is an absolute joke to work for. There is almost no training material, and that's company wide, you'd think that an organization that works in Law would have rules, regulations and even INTERNAL processes recorded but NOPE. This company is completely unorganized. I held a role that was central to the entire company, handling coordination of the entire workings/operations/cross-department, etc. Worked here for two years full time and had 4 managers! (Yes, incredibly high turnover) When first hired, 2 Account Managers had left, and while there - I went through 3 iterations of my Team due to people quitting/getting fired. Upper Management only wants you to hit your "numbers" and gives zilch about the actual employees, you're just another number, if you want that - go here. There is a pay raise level system here that has definitions for each level, and the definitions are incredibly vague/subjective/nebulous with no tied metrics, and IF you hit your metrics they may not even give you the raise. They treat their employees like children, even the employees that have been here for 20 years, there's no trust. Horrible work culture. This company is a perfect example of unethical, oppressive and down right rotten, all they want is money, yet they still can't retain their employees LMFAO
