Pros

The projects are well intended to support many communities. The staff (not including management) have each other’s back.

Cons

Working at ACET is challenging due to problematic workplace culture. The leadership team consistently falls short on integrity, authenticity, and transparency. Without being specific, there are no reprimands for yelling at, disrespecting, or targeting staff. The CEO allows this behavior and is extremely avoidant of reality and addressing it. This dynamic keeps people on edge and anxious. There is a big disconnect between the company’s public “values” and “mission” and reality. Like others said, those are more superficial and a tactic to draw in business than anything. Career advancement is largely stagnant here. Annual reviews can be pretty subjective. I’ve not had to actively follow so many rules and procedures ever in all of my career. It’s demoralizing. I would not recommend working here. There are better opportunities elsewhere.

Pros

1. There is a diversity of employees from various professional as well as cultural backgrounds. Most employees are team players and help each other out.

Cons

1. Employees are not treated equally, the handbook and rules are not applied uniformily. They come down hard on some employees and allow significant lattitude for others. Some get written reprimands or worse for minimal items while others were able to make significant adjustments inconsistent with the handbook. 2. One of my supervisors was very hostile verbally and raised her voices to the point other employees could hear her outbursts. Even though, it was brought to her attention by others, her behavior did not decrease, rather it increased, as she knew one of the top two leaders was very close to her and would protect her regardless. 3. They created 'values' for the organization, but in my opinion it was merely something on paper to draw business and while it may be applied in working with clients, in my opinion they are not implemented within the company other than some shallow presentations at staff meetings.
